Time to update the page and bring everyone up to now. The summer season is upon us and we have no classes scheduled for the summer.

If you have some ideas for classes that we should schedule in the future please leave comments here or see me or Pastor at church to give us the ideas. I want classes that will advance us into the Christians that can make a difference and are not afraid of the world and the challenges that the devil throughs at us.

Spiritual Nature

“God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24) We need to think about the enormous level of power that God has and that we really have no way to how truely powerful He is in all three forms. Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

God’s Salvation for Us

Previously we will try and finish our discussion about the Holy Spirit and then begin discussiong the chapter 3 material on the Salvation. This chapter is so full of material again I see no way we will be able to finish discussion in one class. I want to know if everyone would like to have another meeting date on Thursday this week. Also, give me any ideas about what I need to do to make the class better. Then if you have ideas for a new class for the next sessions please let me know you thoughts. I have received some great ideas so far and want more so we can offer classes that everyone wants to be involved with.

The next level of Christian faith comes from growth in the word and doctrine. Please invite others to be involved in the future.

BY FAITH

We are now in the heart of the discussion of faith.  I like the discussion we are having in class.  You guys are amazing and the class has already been a wonderful growth for me in this class.  I hav one question I will pose today in class and then I will post the question online here and we can all post comments during the week.  I will also try to include instructions for how to get here and post your comments and thoughts or questions.

Our classes were great and I learned so much from our discussions. I hope we can get many more people to join the classes in the future. If we can do a Saturday special topic would you be interested and willing to spend a day with some “lecture” and then small group discussion that could lead to new classes or just developing new friendships and fellow believers who really care about learning what God wants us to know and be able to do for the world He created.

    Question to Ponder:
Are humans basically and inherently prone to do wrong rather than right? Or……
Are humans basically and inherently good and will do good, given a resonable chance to do so ?

Here is my feelings about the questions.
    Wrong
We as humans are just sinners by nature and would rather do wrong. The upbringing and learning of life teaches us to be more prone to doing right, if we get life lessons and good upbringing. Too many of the folks we meet and deal with on a day to day basis have no real learned behaviors that are toward the right way of living. Therefore the world has so many problems.
However, I believe the human race is inherently good by creation. We have just moved toward the wrong
It is up to us as parents and influential people in the community to help create a world where more people prefer to do right more of the time.
We obviously need to do more because the massive amounts of numbers that show up daily in the news doing wrong.

Most people are inherently good, you may find some who go out of their way to be mean to the world, but the main percentage of people will be either slightly nice or slightly mean, depending upon how their day has been. Then there are those like some of the kids at school who are permanently stuck on the far side of nice and happy, but it is like an upside down parabola, you will have some really nice people to the left, a lot of average people in the middle, and a few really mean people on the right. If that makes any sense.

If you see some people hurting or making fun of someone else, yet you don’t do anything to stop, the you are basically giving unspoken approval to that persons actions, and in the world we live in today, I am sad to say this, but I have become de-sensitized to the actions such as these when they happen around me. I beleive most of the world has too.

You are so right. This entire country has become so indifferent to the harm of words and “non-physical” harassment. It is really sad to see the many people who let it go on without doing anything about the issues.

    Thought for the week:

    Faith. What exactly is Faith?
Do we all exercise Faith every day ?
Do only certain people have Faith ?

    Good job Aceman :)

We do exercise faith every day. It’s just the object of our faith is different. When you sit in a chair, you don’t worry that it won’t hold you up. We don’t think about it. When we mail a letter, we don’t sit and worry and hope it will make it to where it’s supposed to go. We give more of our faith to ordinary objects than we do the creator of the universe. If we say we are christians, we should be able to defend our faith and be able to know what we believe. We don’t have to be thelogians to talk to others about faith. He tells us that we are forgiven. He says we are saints. We are joint heirs with Christ. We will rule with Him one day. Sometimes our chairs will break and sometimes our letter may get lost in the mail but the faith of Jesus Christ will never fail us.
